Dr. K. K. Velukutty, longtime devotee and disciple of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa kindly and generously donated four cents of land and a building named ‘Sahithi’ on Hari Shankar Road, Tharekkad, Palakkad to Vivekananda Darsanika Samajam. At a function held in Thiruvananthapuram on the day of Gurupurnima, July 22, 2015, Sampoojya Swami Golokanandaji Maharaj on behalf of the Samajam, received the documents and entrusted the same to its members for maintenance. Sampoojya Swami Mokshavrutanandaji Maharaj, President of Sri Ramakrishna Math presided the function. The land and property was legally registered to Vivekananda Darsanika Samajam and witnesses to this include Mr. A.S. Pushpakumar and Adv. Smitha. Dr. K.K. Velukutty presented this property as Guru Dakshina to his beloved and revered Guru, Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa. Dr. K. K. Velukutty, is a retired professor of Mathematics with a master’s degree from IIT Chennai and a doctoral degree from Cochin University. He retired after a long career at Sri Ramakrishna College, Coimbatore. He is a dedicated disciple of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa and has been initiated into his Guru’s heritage. This generous donation has been made to the Samajam as a sign of Dr. K. K. Velukutty‘s unbounded love for the members of this organization. This location has thus become the very foundation of Vivekananda Darsanika Samajam. Members of the Samajam who spoke at the event humbly sought constant guidance from Dr. K. K. Velukutty in the years to come and they offered prayers to his physical and spiritual wellbeing. Truth, a pure heart and selflessness – wherever these virtues reside, that’s where God resides. This is an eternal truth. As a reward and recognition for the selfless work of Vivekananda Darsanika Samajam, Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa has blessed it with this piece of land and property. Members of the Samajam are forever indebted to Dr. K. K. Velukutty’s spirit of generosity.
